Accessibility
This site should be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or a high-contrast setting. Where it falls short, we would rather say so than claim otherwise.
What has been done
- Every journey — searching, paging, opening a company, expanding an officer's appointments — can be completed with a keyboard alone.
- A skip link, a single main landmark, and a navigation landmark on every page, with the current page marked.
- Menus and expandable sections report their state, restore focus when closed, and respond to Escape.
- Visible focus outlines throughout, and colour contrast checked in both light and dark themes.
- Result tables have real column headers; result cards replace them on small screens so no information is only reachable by sideways scrolling.
- Animation is reduced when your system asks for that.
- Automated checks run against the landing, search, company, and information pages on every change, and fail the build on serious or critical issues. These are run alongside manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, not instead of them.
Known limitations
- Wide result tables on large screens can still scroll sideways. The scrolling region is reachable and operable by keyboard, but a very long registered-office address may need horizontal scrolling to read in full.
- Form fields keep a light background in the dark theme. This is deliberate — it keeps typed text legible — but it is a brighter element than the page around it.
- Filing descriptions come from Companies House verbatim. Some are terse or abbreviated in ways we do not rewrite.
- No independent accessibility audit has been carried out, and this page does not claim formal conformance to a WCAG level.
Reporting a problem
If something here blocks you, please tell the site owner, describing what you were trying to do and the assistive technology or settings you were using. Accessibility problems are treated as defects, not enhancements.
If the barrier is in the underlying record rather than this site, the data comes from Companies House — see data sources.
